Study on the Staphyloeococcal Carrier State From the Nasal Cavities

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was carried out to observe the staphylococcal carrier state from the nasal cavities, with special reference to nursing students compared with the humanities of the Busan National University in 1976. From the results of comparative studies in two groups, following conclusions would be derived:
1. Of all nasal cavities tested were contaminated with staphylococcus albus.
2. Carrier rate of Staphylococcus aureus in. senior nursing students was higher than juniors,
3. Carrier rate of Staphylococcus aureus for nursing students was about 3 times higher than the human ities.
These results were suggested that nursing students in the hospital call their attention to hospital infection simply because of they often contact with effete hospital patients.
